I have been with Denyo for about two and a half years now. One of the deepest impressions that I get about Denyo is that it is an organisation full of talent and there is so much opportunity to learn not just from my superiors but also my colleagues within the service department as well as those from other departments.

I sense that I can gain a lot of knowledge and improve myself to contribute even more at Denyo.

Back in my home country Myanmar, Denyo is very famous and well recognised for its quality products and reliability. It has been a great wish of mine to work in a multinational and well respected company so that I can learn more. So when I got to know of this job opportunity in Singapore, I decided to go for it.

Still, it is not an easy decision to make. It was hard for me to come to a new place all by myself, away from my beloved family and country, as well as all my friends and previous workmates.

Nevertheless, the desire in me to see more of the world outside and acquire as much experience as I can for my personal career development propelled me forward.

Lucky for me, the colleagues at Denyo are very warm and welcoming; I feel like this is my second family, a home away from home.

I am glad that I made the decision to come to Denyo.

I was previously in the heavy machinery and mining fields, so I have some exposure to power equipment such as generators and welders.

Still, it was an eye-opener for me to discover that there is so much more about a generator’s electrical system once you get under the hood and learn about all the technical intricacies. These are very valuable knowledge to me as I can appreciate how proper understanding of the technology and how to apply them in the correct circumstances can help greatly improve productivity and efficiency at project sites.

It feels really good to know that the equipment that I touched and worked on will help other people out there have an easier time with their work. This encourages me to always give my best performance at work.

For a big brand name like Denyo, I am really impressed by its environment as well as working style and culture. It operates like a compact, closely-knitted family, with maximum results achieved just by a small number of people.

I am also very impressed by its openness to diversity and willingness to listen to new ideas and innovative ways of getting things done, something that I would never have expected from a B2B organisation, especially one which such a long and established history.

The open culture really allows my colleagues and myself to explore and try new ways of making our work more productive and efficient, which is good for us and the company as well.

We started holding open house events a year ago and I get to see our customers during these activities, and it was nice to put a face to the clients whose equipment I got to work on.

Also, it was a great feeling to know that they are appreciative of the products and solutions that we presented to them. It meant that our work really impacts how others perform in their projects.

These events are also the times when I get to work with colleagues from other departments in the company and it felt really good that all of us come together and put in our best efforts to present the best to our visitors.

I also have a very fond recollection of my trip with my senior Michael to Malaysia to service our customers’ equipment. Under Michael’s guidance and mentorship, I learnt so much and gained extensive knowledge that greatly improved my skills.

I think Denyo is a place of warmth, encouragement and opportunities, even for a service personnel like me.

Moving forward, I can see myself gaining more experience and acquiring more knowledge and skills in Denyo that will help me achieve strong career development.

To a company that has given me so much, I am ready to contribute more, taking on more roles and responsibilities whenever the chance arises.
